Job Description
  1. Perform computerized diagnostics using OBD-II scanners and manufacturer-specific diagnostic software.
  2. Identify faults in engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, and electronic systems.
  3. Carry out troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles.
  4. Conduct regular vehicle inspections and create accurate diagnostic reports.
  5. Perform test drives to confirm fault detection and verify repairs.
  6. Collaborate with service advisors, mechanics, and workshop teams to ensure efficient workflow.
  7. Maintain updated knowledge of new vehicle technologies, EV/hybrid systems, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
  8. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in the workshop.
  9. Document all work done, including fault codes, repairs, and parts used, in service records.
  10. Provide technical guidance to junior technicians and assist in training.

Strong knowledge of automotive systems (engine, transmission, suspension, braking, fuel, and electrical)., Proficiency in using diagnostic tools (OBD-II, multimeters, oscilloscopes, manufacturer-specific scanners)., Ability to interpret error codes and translate them into actionable repair solutions., Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic control systems., Good communication skills to coordinate with service teams and explain issues to non-technical staff.
