Job Description
  1. Install, maintain, and repair shipboard electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, control panels, and navigation equipment.
  2. Inspect and test electrical equipment to identify faults, wear, and potential hazards.
  3. Troubleshoot motors, generators, transformers, switchboards, and circuit breakers.
  4. Work with marine automation systems, PLCs, and electrical instrumentation onboard vessels.
  5. Ensure compliance with maritime electrical safety standards, SOLAS, and ISM codes.
  6. Coordinate with engineers, officers, and deck crew for safe operation of electrical systems.
  7. Perform preventive maintenance schedules and document all maintenance activities.
  8. Respond to emergency electrical failures efficiently to minimize downtime.
  9. Maintain and organize electrical spares and tools.
  10. Ensure safe handling of high-voltage equipment and adhere to risk management protocols.
