Job Description
  1. Plan, supervise, and optimize gear manufacturing processes including hobbing, shaping, grinding, and finishing.
  2. Ensure quality control of gears through inspection, measurement, and compliance with design specifications.
  3. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize defects.
  4. Coordinate gear heat treatment processes and monitor outcomes for quality consistency.
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation, process sheets, and SOPs.
  6. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects or process failures and implement corrective actions.
  7. Support maintenance and calibration of gear manufacturing machinery and CNC equipment.
  8. Work closely with design, R&D, and production teams for New Product Introductions (NPI).
  9. Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians on gear manufacturing best practices.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in the gearshop.
  11. Monitor and optimize material utilization and production cost.
  12. Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
